About My Auto Fix
About My Auto Fix
My Auto Fix helps everyday drivers understand their cars, handle the maintenance and repairs they can safely do themselves, and buy the right parts and tools the first time.
What We Publish
- DIY maintenance and repair guides that explain what a problem means, how to check it, and step-by-step fixes, including when a job is better left to a professional.
- Buying guides and product comparisons for tires, TPMS kits, tools and car accessories, focused on the specifications that actually matter.
- Explainers on topics like tire types, tread patterns and dashboard warning lights.
How We Research and Review
We want every recommendation to be useful and honest. Here's how we work:
- Specs and evidence first. We compare products on measurable details such as tread depth, ply rating, accuracy, load rating and coverage, using manufacturer data, independent reviews and long-term owner feedback.
- We say how each review was made. Most of our buying guides are research-based. When we haven't tested a product ourselves, the guide says so.
- We check and update. We re-check product availability and replace discontinued or unavailable items, and update guides when better information or new models appear. Each guide shows the date it was last updated.
- Safety comes first. Repair guides include safety warnings and tell you clearly when a job needs a qualified mechanic.
- Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll review and correct it.
How We Make Money
My Auto Fix is reader-supported. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which products we recommend or how we rank them. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
